9-10 Amendments

One they have to keep the roads in good shape.
Two make sure that people have licenses that are suppose to have.
Three the have to establish school systems.
four make sure restaurants follow specific health rules determined by the state.
Five they also can set speed limits on state highways.

One they have power of the taxes.
Two they have the power to pass laws.
three and they also the power to punish criminals.

Issue a teaching license to someone who has applied and has met all the requirements yes the government takes care of that because they have to establish schools and teachers are part i schools.

Make a treaty with a foreign country yes because that is keeping our country safe.

Set health codes for restaurants yes because that is keep our well-being to not get sick and keep us healthy.
Issue a marriage license- yes because they have to make the marriage final.

Declare war Yes to keep our people safe so no one gets hurt.

5th-8th Amendment

witness- A witness is a person that has scene the crime being committed.
Indict- is to be charge with a offense or crime
Testify- is to to up in font of a jury and talk about the crime that has been committed.
Grand Jury- Is a group of people selected to listen and look over the crime for what the witness and defendant have to say.
Due Process-An established course for judicial proceedings or other governmental activities designed to safeguard the legal rights of the individual.
Capital Punishment- punishment by death for a crime (death penalty).
Excessive-Exceeding a normal, usual, reasonable, or proper limit.

Bail- amount of money given to a criminal to get out of jail.

Peer- a person of the same legal status

Do you believe that people accused of crimes deserve all of these rights or just some of them? Why or why not? I think people should have all of those rights because without them it would not be fair. It would be bad and be just like To kill a mockingbird and tom did not get a fair tail and that was not right. So I think that even criminals should get all these rights because without them it would not be fair.

2nd-4th Amendment

1. Describe one argument for and one argument against gun control. What is your opinion on the issue? Some may say that it is good to have a gun in your home because they want to protect them self encase something should happen. And I think that is fine because something may happen and they want to keep there family protected but I also think it's bad because some people can get hurt if a gun is in the wrong hands.

2. Do you think it is fair to force people to open their homes to soldiers during wartime? Why or why not? At that time they had to open up there homes to soldiers. I think that good because they are our soldiers and they are fighting for our country and that is the least we could do for them. But I don't think it's far that they can just walk in and say I am living here. so it is good and a bad thing.

3. Describe a situation in which the police might be able to obtain a warrant to search a house or a building. If they believe that someone (or some people) are involved in a criminal case and they have enough evidence to search there house.

The 1st amendment

Give a speech before a large gathering of people and express opinions about the president's abilities. That is freedom of speech so they can do that because they are protected.

Write a letter for the editorial page of a newspaper in which you criticize a state legislator.

They are expressing there feels and telling them nicely of what they can do to be better.

Post your opinion on your blog about an issue being discussed at a local school board meeting. That is freedom of speech as long has it doesn't put people down or cause a fight.

The first amendment is important to me because without the first amendment i wouldn't get to have these things, freedoms of religion, speech and the press, assembly, and petition. People can practice the religion of their choice. And we Use those things every day and Every one should get those right we use them every day.
